Inspiring Movement, Removing Barriers
At Halifax Dance, we are committed to building a diverse and inclusive dance community where
everyone feels welcomed, represented, and can experience the joy of dance. We believe dance
is for everybody. As a part of that commitment, we are pleased to offer scholarships and
bursaries to help reduce financial barriers to participation. All students are welcome to apply,
and awards are based on a combination of financial need, potential, and available funding.
Designated funding for Black, Indigenous, and Racialized Students
This year, thanks to a contribution from J&W Murphy Foundation, we have an additional $5,000
in bursary and scholarship funding specifically designated to support Black, Indigenous, and
other racialized students on their dance journey.
