Halifax Dance welcomes adults of all skill levels to experience dance in a fun, accessible environment. Dancing can be a great way to stay active, make friends and learn something new or continue a passion from the past. Monday

Level 1 Ballet

6:30–7:30 pm • Sara House

Foundational ballet training covering basic technique, posture, and vocabulary.
Level 1 designed for beginners or returning dancers.

Level 3/4 Ballet Barre

7:30–8:30 pm • Sara House

Barre-based conditioning class focused on strength, control, and alignment.
Level 3–4 designed for dancers with prior ballet experience seeking progression.

Adult Pointe

8:30–9:00 pm • Sara House

Pointe training emphasizing strength, alignment, and safe progression.
Adult pointe level requiring teacher approval or strong foundational technique.

Adult Pre-Pointe

8:30–9:00 pm • Jen Briand

Preparatory training to build the strength and alignment needed for pointe work.
Pre-pointe level for dancers preparing to advance.
Tuesday

Open Modern

5:30–6:30 pm • Sara Coffin

Contemporary modern technique focusing on breath, weight, and expressive movement.
Open-level class suitable for all dancers.

Stretch & Strength

6:30–7:00 pm • Anastasia Wiebe

Guided mobility, flexibility, and strength training to support recovery and injury prevention.
Open-level class suitable for all dancers.

Open Barre

7:00–8:00 pm • Anastasia Wiebe

Full-body barre workout focusing on strength, alignment, and control.

Open Jazz

8:00–9:00 pm • Michele King

Jazz technique class focusing on style, energy, and performance quality.
Open-level class with progressions for various experience levels.
