Penelope Evans is one of the founding member of Halifax Dance and acted as the head of Jazz department for many years. She has been an Artistic Director, Production Direction, and Choreographer for many fashion shows and fashion dance shows. She has travelled internationally and extensively to develop contemporary jazz dance style including England, Cuba, USA, Canada, and Thailand. She is certified by the National Dance Teachers Association of England and completed a fellowship in Modern Stage (Jazz) and Associate Ballet. She is also certified by the Canadian Dance Teachers Association.
