Julia Keyes is currently a student at Citadel High School in Halifax, Nova Scotia. She began dancing at Halifax Dance at an early age, beginning with Creative Movement and advancing her movement education through the Intensive Training Program (ITP), where she has studied a wide range of styles including Ballet, Jazz, Modern, and Contemporary.

Her training has led to numerous performance opportunities, including appearances in the Viennese Opera Ball, The Nutcracker with Symphony Nova Scotia, TYDE, YOCO, and Ballet Jörgen’s Anne of Green Gables – The Ballet®, among others.

Since 2017, Julia has volunteered as a ballet teaching assistant at Halifax Dance—a role that sparked her passion for teaching. Through this experience, she has developed valuable leadership and communication skills, which she now brings to her own ballet classes. Julia is excited to continue growing both as a dancer and an instructor.
