Elsa Larsen

Elsa Larson was born in Southern California and started dancing at the age of 5, training at the California Ballet School in San Diego, California. In addition to training in ballet, tap, and jazz, she performed for three years in the school’s production of The Nutcracker at the San Diego Civic Theater. In 2018, Elsa moved to Halifax and began training at the Leica Hardy School of Dance, eventually moving to Halifax Dance and joining their Intensive Training Program. In addition to Halifax Dance, Elsa is a student at The Dance Institute as a part of their daytime Professional Education Program, where she trains in ballet, modern, contemporary, and jazz. 

Since 2019, Elsa has performed in the Symphony of Nova Scotia’s, The Nutcracker, and continues to perform until graduation. She has had the opportunity to perform in Ballet Jörgen’s Anne of Green Gables - The Ballet, Penelope Evans’ The Last Jazz Bliss, The Young Company of Halifax Dance, and most recently with Onset Hip Hop as part of their competitive Elite Crew. 

Elsa is passionate about creating a motivating and uplifting class environment, allowing her students to further their technique, strength, and movement quality.
