Beyoncé Gibbons

Beyoncé Gibbons has been training primarily in ballet for over two decades. She also has experience in jazz, contemporary and lyrical dance. She has completed most of her ballet training in the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) syllabus, progressing to advanced 2. Beyoncé continued her dance career at Mount Allison University as a co-coach of the ballet team and a team member on the jazz, contemporary and lyrical teams while completing her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Sociology and certifications in Equity, Diversity and Inclusion.

Her academic background influences her ballet coaching style, as she focuses on inclusivity and attending to dancers’ technique to ensure they feel confident and supported as they practice skills. Beyoncé plays to dancers’ strengths and abilities and enjoys pushing them to try new things.

She most recently taught at Morrell Dance Company and enjoys choreographing and teaching ballet to all age levels. She looks forward to continuing her teaching career at Halifax Dance this fall as she pursues her Master of Social Work at Dalhousie University.
