Lauren Jollimore Behie
Lauren Jollimore-Behie has been dancing since the age of three and continues to train and perform regularly in a wide range of styles, including Jazz, Contemporary, Heels, Jazz Funk, and Highland dance. She holds her Highland Associate certification with the British Association of Teachers of Dancing (BATD) and is passionate about both performance and teaching.
Since 2013, Lauren has been a dedicated volunteer with Halifax Dance’s Inclusive Movement program, where she supports dancers with diverse needs. Her commitment to inclusive dance led her to complete the Boston Ballet Adaptive Dance Training, further expanding her expertise in accessible and therapeutic movement practices.
Lauren holds a Bachelor of Science in Therapeutic Recreation from Dalhousie University, a degree that complements her teaching by blending movement with principles of wellness and inclusivity. She now leads the Inclusive Movement Teen class at Halifax Dance, creating a supportive and empowering environment where every dancer can thrive.
