Kendra Rex

Kendra began dancing at a young age and has since studied classical ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, modern, musical theatre, and highland dance. Her career with the Royal Winnipeg Ballet began in 1989 when she was accepted into the RWB’s Professional Division, studying ballet, pointe, character, modern, repetoire, and pas de deux.  As a graduate of the school Kendra danced with the RWB Company from 1992 to 1996 performing in Swan Lake, La Bayadere, Les Sylphides, Nutcracker, and The Dream, among other pieces.  Kendra is also a graduate of the Teacher’s training program at the Royal Winnipeg Ballet.  Her studies included creative dance, pre-ballet, pointe, and classical ballet.  She was on staff with the RWB’s Professional Division for the 1997-1998 school year, teaching all levels of ballet.  Kendra received Associate standing with the International Cecchetti Society in 1997, and Associate Diploma standing in 2002.   While attending University, Kendra appeared in several musical theatre productions with Rainbow Stage Theatre in Winnipeg, including “Oklahoma!”, “42nd Street”, “Crazy For You” (‘Mitzi’), and “A Chorus Line” (‘Judy’).     At present, Kendra is a mother of two and a registered occupational therapist, working in the area of pediatrics.
