Ellie is from Halifax, Nova Scotia, where she trained through Halifax Dance’s Intensive Training Program and the Society of Russian Ballet examinations. Ellie performed as a soloist for Symphony Nova Scotia’s The Nutcracker and for the Halifax Dance Young Company.
While studying biology at Acadia University, Ellie was both a member and Director of Dance Acadia, Acadia’s performance dance team, specializing in contemporary, jazz and hip hop. She also taught for the Acadia Dance Collective and the Acadia Dance Community Club in various styles.
In 2015, Ellie began work with Dance Fredericton as Director of the Dance Fredericton Competitive Company. She also acted as production consultant, choreographer and rehearsal mistress for Dance Fredericton’s The Nutcracker. Additionally, she taught jazz, contemporary, ballet, hip hop and conditioning classes.
Ellie choreographed for the 2018 season of Halifax Dance’s TYDE, while still acting as choreographer, consultant and Assistant Director of the competitive company for Dance Fredericton. Since 2018 Ellie has been a faculty member at Halifax Dance teaching in the Recreational and Intensive Training Program.
